Thanks! @KimberlyNStew
Do you need to accept their offer of admission to register for classes? I’d like to register but I haven’t heard back from any other schools so I can’t commit just yet.
Thanks @kimberlynstew! And congrats to all who have been accepted!

Hi @KimberlyNStew ! I think you made a facebook page instead of a group.
Oh duh! Thank you @laurencewithau ! I’ll make the group instead. Sorry.
You are totally welcome to make the group! I would have made one, but I am kind of waiting on my financial aid package to officially commit. It’s really likely that I’ll go though. Might as well get the ball rolling on the group!
Edit: I also haven’t used Facebook in almost a year, so I will have to figure out how to reactivate my account when I join.
Well I think I did it right this time. Enter it in the Facebook search engine exactly as UNC Chapel Hill Transfers 2016-2017. @TranslationLost Hope you will be able to retain your login information. Thanks for creating this discussion, if no one else has already told you. I appreciate it so much!
In my finances tab it doesn’t have a year listed, is this happening for everyone?
Did anyone figure out how to log into sakai??
@Gowolfpacks18 Regarding Sakai, I called tech support and he asked when I’d created my ONYEN. I told him, “Oh, about an hour ago,” and could almost hear him laugh. :)) He said I’d probably need to wait until at least tomorrow. If I can’t get in it by tomorrow afternoon, I might give a call back though.
@ShovelBum18 wow! Good to know…I’m sure I’ll have to give him a call because I probably locked myself out of it for all of the times I just attempted…lollll
I GOT IN YAASSSSSSSSSS!!!
I got in with a 3.85 from Pepperdine, 2080 SAT in case anyone was curious, and a 3.7 uw GPA, 3.98 W GPA from HS in case anyone was wondering
how does one go about making heelmail? is it only after we’ve accepted the decision?
@ShovelBum18 How did you register for classes?
@cescalante011 I started with the “search” button under Academics. I filled up my shopping cart (I already had a pretty good idea of my potential schedule) and went from there. Thankfully I had watched a video on the subject (http://registrar.unc.edu/registration/registration-video-series/) last night, so I knew sort of knew what to do.
@ShovelBum18 i tried to do that but it says I don’t have access to enrollment at this time. Is this because I can’t login to Sakai since my ONYEN isn’t working yet either?
So, I’ve been waitlisted. For anyone reading this, I had an 1840 SAT, a 28 ACT, a 3.75 UW high school gpa and a 4.4 W with tons of EC’s, including Student Body President. I’m currently a freshman at a private school in Arkansas. I play D2 collegiate football and I made a 4.0 in my first semester. I held a part-time job at Subway for over three and a half years in high school. I’m certain there’s more to say, but I’ll leave it at that. To those who were denied, keep your head up and stay focused. To those who were accepted, go have the time of your life at our dream school. To my fellow friends who were waitlisted, let’s prepare for next fall anticipating our absence at UNC, but if we get the good news, then let’s go be the greatest Tar Heels to ever step foot in Chapel Hill. May God bless each and every one of you.
