Unorthodox and possibly too depressing essay?

Wrote this essay rather quickly but I like the message. Short 250 word limit, so not too much room to include anecdotes/develop too complex ideas. If you want to read it i'll pm you. I'd like a response mainly on whether or not you think it is a good topic to write about/good idea, not that I should place a comma here and change the conjunction to a semicolon. It is still in its very early rough draft phases.

I will only let you read the essay if you are not applying to college this year. Sorry.

If you think the essay reads as intentionally trying to be unorthodox and depressing, then you might want to revise it. But if it happens to be a consequence of something important you’re trying to convey and doesn’t overshadow it, that’s another story.

Would you like to read it? I don’t think it’s depressing but it does have a sort of vibe to it throughout the middle. I believe it ends on a positive note however. The essay I think is unorthodox by prompt (Favorite word prompt)

Sure, I can read it.
