Unpaid INternships: Why do you do it?

<p>Well, after reading abou your experiences in unpaid internships, if they are accurate descriptions, they are all ILLEGAL. Every single one of them. </p>

<p>“The staff was extremely small so they actually needed the help and had a lot for me to do.”</p>

<p>So basically you took a job that would have otherwise gone to a paid employee. The reason why there are so few entry level jobs out there is that they are all being converted to illegal unpaid internships.</p>

<p>My position would not have been filled by somebody getting paid. 85% of what I did consisted of observation and the occasional helping-hand. The full-time employee traveled with the team while the two of us interns were only around at home games. He would have survived without us, but he provides the opportunity for us to learn.</p>
