Unrealistic Expectations

FYI, details on UO WUE:

[Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) | Student Financial Aid and Scholarships](Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) | Financial Aid & Scholarships)

Wish we could do an exchange, we’re from OR and D2 would love to go OOS to UDub, but with the lack of WUE or substantial merit aid, that’s just not happening :(.

Hmm… a child swap. Heh. ;)

I’m liking the “child swap” idea :)

This is all great info and about what I expected…just needed backup/advice from those who have been there! I really want her to go to U of O but don’t want her option-less come April if it doesn’t fall into place.

Have you been able to convince your d to apply to safeties

Mom2 - Yes…she just called me to get the number of my credit card for her Western Washington U app. Said she wrote the essay in 20 min. Good thing she is a good (near perfect SAT) writer…hah!

I sent her the email link to this thread and left a bunch of info on the kitchen counter last night. I saw that she had been through the papers and apparently she wrote me a scathing email back …hasn’t shown up yet. She wasn’t happy, but she got the message.

And I can breath easier until April :)

Thanks again for all the help!

Is there an early deadline for WWU as a WUE applicant? (wow that’s a mouthful!) Or if an application gets in by the March deadline will that be ok?

I don’t know about WUE at WWU since she would be an in-state student. I would check their web site, search Western Undergraduate Exchange…if should tell you.
