Unscientific AI

Because of different ways to calculate the AI, I estimate my daughter's AI to be around 201. What do you think her chances are of getting accepted to Pton. Please bear in mind that the coach of her sport submitted her name to the dean of admissions to be on the lookout for her application coming in ED.

By the way, her recommendations were outstanding, and I believe her essays were too (although I am her Mom).

Thanks.

Depends on what her sport is. If it's a sport that A) Princeton dominates or B) Brings in big money, she is in. If it is not, then her reccomendations and demonstrated ability in academics will have to carry the day. The fact her application is an early one will help as well - admissions offices are more likely to make a stretch if they know an athlete is committed to come.

For your daughter, I don't think it's going to come down to the essays. I think the essays are more of a way to give the ordinary person a chance to express their originality. I am sure that your daughter has a wonderful personality, but for athletes, legacies, minorities, or other recruited personalities, it really has next to no effect, from what I've heard.
