Unsure about essay topic?

The essay topic for the school I am applying to asks you to talk about a life experience, accomplishment, etc. and how that will affect your college experience.
My problem is I am unsure what one experience to write about, so I was going to throw them out there and see if any of you could tell me if one seems better than another.
I could write about:

My first year running track sophomore year I made it to regionals and during the race at regionals a girl fell in front of me and i had to jump over her and when I did I rolled my ankle but kept running and came in third and went to states but I had ended up damaging a tendon in my foot. I would be talking about how I work hard, endure, push forward, etc.

or

My grandpa went to the school I am applying at but didn't have enough money and had to drop out, and my experiences with him and how he shaped me, and him dying of cancer.

or

I volunteer at Hospice and I had talked to this one patient Mary for several weeks and she was my friend and I came in one day and found out she had died. It really just made me feel bad how sometimes I had complained about not wanting to volunteer one day and thought about how I complain about school or track, etc. and it made me stop to think about life.

All input will be GREATLY appreciated!

The third one seems the most...introspective. And it talks about your volunteering as well. I think that one would be the best one.

The third gets my vote as well

second or third one, the first one is too cliche i think

third one too
