Hello everybody,
I am a Junior, and not really sure about the colleges I want to go to. In the winter I got an SAT score of 1530 (first time), and I don’t know whether I should take the SAT again in case I want to go to Iveys. I read that you should take the SAT at least twice, but my friends are telling me that I don’t need to take it again. Should I take it again?
Well, I think it depends on your subscores for each section. For example, if you got a 790 in one section than it doesn’t hurt to take it again if money is not an issue.
You’re done. Go out and celebrate and then focus on other things. Congrats!
I did get a 790 in math. Doesn’t that mean that I shouldn’t take it again though because I have a smaller chance of improving my math score? Thank you!
Take it again. You can get 800 in math and hopefully improve reading. Do it.
You should take it again because you did so well in math, since now you can improve your 740 on the reading section to get a far superior superscore. Either way congratulations on the 1530.
No. Everybody should take the SAT twice . . . except those of you who score at 1500 or above. Congratulations, you are done. Spend your time doing something interesting, that you love and will interest the folks on the Admissions Committee more than a dude burning a Saturday trying to better a 1530. Best of luck!
