Unsure of career choice- UVA, Brown, Georgetown

I am a high school junior at an extremely competitive school. We use a different gpa scale out of 4.6 in my district. I am also in a specialized program of 45 students who take business courses as their electives. The courses restrict me from taking more AP courses but my guidance counselor has told me that colleges will understand due to the program I am in that I can't take has many as other students. I am unsure of what I want to major in, I am thinking of going to law school after majoring in political science, history, or finance undergrad.

GPA: 4.37
Rank: 32/536

White Male

I am in all honors and AP classes.

This year: AP Macro AP Micro
Next year: AP Literature, AP Physics B, AP French, AP Calculus BC

EC, I will continue these activities next year:
Eagle Scout, my project was recognized in three county newspapers
Caddy at a golf course for 3 years
4 year varsity golf team, will be captain next year
Won county golf tournament
Competed in International Junior Golf Tournament place 17/32
4 year French Club, 2 year treasurer
FBLA member, won events in business fields
Active Octagon Club member
NHS member
National French Honor Society member
Helped organize walk for multiple sclerosis
Teen Advisory Committee member, helps the township
Competed in national band competition w/ school, came in second

I have yet to take the SAT but I got a 177 M-68 CR-600 W-490 on my psat w/o any classes and not knowing that you could skip questions, I expect getting between a 2000 to 2100 on my sat

I took the SAT Math 1 and got a 780 on it, I am taking the US History in May and the Physics in June. I might take the Math 2 in September after finishing a year of precalc.

I live with my single mother who makes around 90k a year. I looked up scholarships and will apply to a caddy, Eagle Scout, and many others.

Possible Schools:
Rutgers (in state for me)
UC Berkeley
U of Chicago
U of Illinois
U of Michigan
Georgetown
Northwestern
Brown
Cornell
Princeton (i know i have a little chance)
UNC

Please be as completely honest as you want to. I know my psat score was horrible but I was unaware that skipping does not earn you lost points and did not have any tutoring.

Assuming you get a 2000-2100 on the SATs…

Rutgers-safety
UC Berkeley-reach
UChicago-slight reach
U of Illinois-not sure, but i think match
UMich-slight reach
Georgetown-reach
Brown-reach
Cornell-slight reach
Princeton-huge reach
UNC-slight reach/high match

I’d add more match schools because you have a lot of reaches in there. You’re applying to a lot of public schools that are really hard to get into out-of-state (Berkeley, UMich, UNC,etc.)

Thank you very much. The only reason i put up Princeton is because I have legacy, and I have an uncle who is a professor at Georgetown. I know colleges go crazy for Eagle scout so I hope that will play a role in my admission to reach schools.

I forgot to post that my community service totals over 300 hours with 250 coming from my Eagle Scout project.
