Unsure

I have a 3.8 weighted gpa. (it's out of 5.0, freshman year I did worse than the other years.) Despite the low gpa, I go to a very well known and respected public school.

I got a 1990 on my SAT reasoning test, 610 R, 680 M, 700 W.
I am planning on taking the ACTs as well.
AP's: Physics this year, Environmental studies and Stat next year. All honors the rest.

A TON of EC's

Michigan is a ridiculous reach, and Wisconsin and Rochester look tricky.
I need someone to tell me honestly where I stand though, because half the time I'm telling myself I can get into these schools, the other half I can't.

Michigan
Rochester
Wisconsin
Maryland
Penn State - instate

What EC’s are you talking about, exactly? Quality is much more important than quanitity.

I can’t tell you about many, but i do live in michigan, so i can tell you that while University of Michigan has some initial hard guidelines to begin with, I do know that the level of difficulty does actually variate with the economy.
that being said, i don’t know what your GPA is unweighted. U of M strips everyone’s gpa when they apply to compare.
Also, what are your ecs?
Try to raise your GPA in the coming year; that will help.
Have you been taking hard classes?

It doesn’t matter that you have a “ton” of extracurriculars, what truly matters is the depth and quality of those extracurriculars that actually makes your application look worthwhile.

Are you in-state for Michigan?
