Unusual dip in CR

I was at a 580 CR during my PSAT in junior year and I improved significantly for my sat. I had a 670 which was 8 wrong and one omission. During June and July I was practicing for the october sat and I was getting around 21/24 on the CR sections.

After summer break and school started, I took about 9-10 sections of CR (not the whole CR section, just one out of the three) and i noticed that i have gotten significantly worse. I dont know why. I use the 24 question CR section as a baseline and my aim is 22-23/24 which will get me past 720. But now I am geting 18s and 19s. My worst was a 15 just now.

One month left and i am going in reverse...any explanations?

Some reading passages are easier to read than others...my reading score changes too.....my last test, i've gotten 2 wrong on all the CR sections, which is pretty good and can land me a 800. but the test before that, I've gotten 8 wrong on all the CR sections. Just practice and practice.

maybe u stopped practicing during summer break........maybe that's why your performance became a bit worse........

Maybe after doing good, you became to overconfident...and that led to you doing worse........

Well.......in either case........practice makes perfect........just make sure you focus more on your strategy........and answering the questions correctly in the given time........while taking the tests........take the results all the way to the back of your head.....or temporarily out of your picture.......maybe your concern for the results is creating tension during test-time.....

Well, all I can say is........practice, practice, practice....
