Unusual Ethical Dilemma

its not real , the guys prolly laughing his a$s off that you clowns bought it

I'm almost certain he is telling the truth. I could show you guys why I believe him but then I would give away something he made a point to hide.

enlighten us

why the hell hasn't he posted here yet?? where is this guy?

......either laughing his head off at us ....or worrying his ass off and doing some serious decision making

lots of talk about laughing heads and asses off...

i think you should go for it and take the offer. i mean, im religious, and i think it happened for a reason. even for those of you who arent, life still brings unexpected windfalls.

Where is this guy? He crawled back under the bridge with the other trolls.

i dont think you're a troll.. but im also not convinced you are going to actually report it to the colleges... if you are an ea/ed ivy reject(wink wink), you should report this clown to every ivy league school. his whole resume is posted here and you can help rescind his application for him.

"He crawled back under the bridge with the other trolls"

yea prbably a troll--- come out and defend thyself you unoble lass (j/k)

You stated that there is no victim in this situation. But there is one, the person that got rejected after the class of that ivy league was filled to capacity with you included in it. Imagine that there was somebody that worked their butt off all throughout highschool and did better than you that was rejected because they couldn't accept one more. You aren't the old less fortunate person on this earth, this doesn't make anything that your considering to do any better. This will probably be on your mind forever, because you'll never be sure that you are on par with your peers at this IVY. You'll never be sure that you'll have your degree for the rest of your life because universities can take them back if they find out you did something suspect. I hope you do the good thing, because this is a test (more important than all of the AP tests) of your person and if you fail this then....

ohh and the college hes most likely talking about is either harvard or cornell.

this thread should be deleted.....

why the **** would anyone report this to the ivy's? it's none of your goddamn business, if someone else wants to do something immoral let them, it's not your worry at all. You're the same kind of people who go *****ing to the teacher because someone made fun of you, grow up and get a life.

That said, IF this is true, do whatever you truly want. If it were me, and it was truly my dream school with perfect circumstances, I'd probably just take the admission, but that's me, and I know alot of other people wouldnt' be able to live with taht choice.

why does anyone even think that every school in this country includes SAT scores on their students' transcripts? My school doesn't, most prep schools don't, and many schools i know of don't either.

Don't make igorant or stupid assumptions about things you don't know about.

"why the **** would anyone report this to the ivy's? it's none of your goddamn business, if someone else wants to do something immoral let them, it's not your worry at all.
im not saying i would.. i dont know why some people do it but some people do. like someone reported that girl who killed her mom.

Hey guys, I hate to break it to you.. but on every transcript (that's legal, of course) the school must, by law, put the social security number of the person. Then the colleges check this against the social security number they receive from your application and from recommendations.. so yeah, this is a fake.

Even if this post if fake, the switched transcript scenario is plausible. One of the librarians at the library where I work told me the story of her son's college saga. He applied ED to Williams and was deferred. He was told that if he kept his grades up, he'd likely get in on the RD cycle. Well, spring roles around and he didn't get in. His dad is an alum, so admissions called him up to break the news. They told his dad that they were sorry, but his grades had dropped significantly that quarter, especially in psych. Well, the dad knew for a fact that his son wasn't taking psych. The correct transcript was immediately faxed over, and upon furthur review, the son was accepted to Williams.

Popular schools are swamped with apps and probably don't look at each one as closely as they could. After all, the transcript Williams received from the librarian's son didn't even have the correct name on it, and they rejected him on the basis of those grades.
