How long on average does it take for a college to send confirmations or passwords and ids to check the status of you app.

I submitted my CA on dec. 28th, and it said dec. 29th on the screen, I guess because of processing timings.

even so... I have been waiting for my cmu id and pass to check the where am I in the process and its been almost 6 days. on their website it says 1-5 days, idk if its holidays or business days.

Don’t worry. I didn’t get it either. I really want to schedule an alumni interview.
Also, do you know anything about how the financial process works at CMU?

yeah I have yet to receive my confirmation email either. Although after applying EA to a bunch of schools I’ve learned not to worry, some schools sent me the confirmation weeks after I applied and I was still being considered for EA.

That’s weird, I wonder what it’s based on. I applied later than you - December 30th - but I’ve already received a confirmation and further instructions a couple days ago.
Btw, if you’re not too lazy, you can try logging on to Where Am I In the Process: https://www.as.cmu.edu/application//display.html. I wanna see if it can work before they send you the confirmation email. You already have all the info to log on: the Common App ID, last name, and birth date.

wow, thanks ivanov, I was able to get in. However, it only showed a brief list of facts that we put on our application.

Also what I found confusing was that they didn’t have a check list of what they did and did not receive. It has a posted date of when they received my c.a, sat, sat 2, and fee.

is there anything else they were supposed to receive.

OH, and I almost forgot, is it too late to send in an art supplement. I am applying to engineering, but I want them to see some of my work. how do I send it, bec. I didn’t see a spot on the common app. maybe it was because I chose CIT?
is it too late? is it worth it for an engineering major?

Yeah, it’s the same for me. I hope they’ll add more info later on, specifically the checklist. Anyone who applied EA, what info showed up on your “Where Am I In the Process” page?
And about the art supplement, I think CMU only allows (requires, actually) them for a couple art-related schools. I’m not sure about this, though. But I think that CIT applicants can’t submit an art supplement. I wish the had a “maker” supplement, though, the way MIT does.

You can submit an art supplement no matter what you apply for, I applied for CIT and submitted a supplement. On slideroom there’s an option for non-CFA majors to submit 5 images.

www.cmu.slideroom.edu I dunno if they’ll let you submit it still. There was indeed a spot on the common app to mark that you want them to consider your art supplement.

I applied on 29th of December but I haven’t yet received a confirm email.

However I try to log into Where Am I In The Process and I successfully log in…

And from the Application Documents Sent I can see that they’ve already sent the Application Receipt Email and the Application Instruction Book on 31th of December, but I haven’t even received them.

I’m worried, should I e-mail them and which address should I e-mail to?

So Dream4life, are there anything listed on the Admission Documents Sent in your account?

I emailed admissions about it and they said not to worry. Actually the email was pretty rude and uncalled for but I got their message. They just have tons of apps to process so we have to give it a week at most more before worrying at all

I really wish that I could have seen that slideroom part earlier, because I didn’t see any indication on the common app of where to submit supplements.

Is there anyway I could still email one or two pictures to them? which email would I use and what should I include for them to identify me?

@lin , I think I posted it earlier but I basically have posted dates of an app fee, app, test scores, and another thing. Am not sure if this means they received it though
