I just took an SAT yesterday, and after the test was over, i noticed faint gray bubbles in the margin of one of the pages of my answer sheet. I'm pretty sure they appeared because my answers from the page after smudged onto that page (like the pencil marks from the bubbles on the second page sort of smeared onto that page as a result of filling in more bubbles on the page after that) basically, these unwanted bubbles were in the large middle margin of the answer sheet. they weren't anywhere near the actual bubbled answers on that page. i'm not exactly sure how they got to be in the MARGIN and not in the answer grid....
so i'm worried and wondering if those margin bubbles will affect my score???? has this happened to anyone?? and has it affected your score??
(also, i noticed all of this very near the end of the test and my proctor wouldn't allow me to erase the marks at the end when I asked her.)

It shouldn’t.

No.

N/A

Should have just started to erase the mark and then let the proctor say something. It’s a shame you got a hard ass since my proctor was blind as a bat, the proctor just ignored a kid from continuing his section during the breaks and she even left the room a few times.

Don’t worry it happened to me before and it didn’t affect my score at all. Even in my essay it seemed a bit jumbled up because of this but I got a 10, meaning the readers understood exactly what I said.
And I disagree with the above poster, this certainly happens to most of the people it’s no big deal and I am sure the SAT people are aware of this, or else the test wouldn’t be done in pencil.
