Do colleges look more at unweighted GPA or class rank? People say it's literally /impossible/ to get a unweighted 4.0 in my school and no one has a perfect 4.0. However, my class rank is really good (in the running for valedictorian) but it's a 3.9ish something unweighted and a 4.2 weighted. So yeah, which one is more important class rank or unweighted GPA (or is this post just plain trivial). Okay thanks!!!!! :)

They are looked at together/should match up, it is not a matter of looking at one or the other. For example my GPA is a bit low for the colleges I am looking at (currently 3.85), but my rank is higher then you would usually see for a 3.8… They can also give the college an idea of the overall difficulty of the school you attend.
