if you get an A in P.E (badminton), will that counteract the C in your AP Biology class?

And if you have B's in all of your other classes, you would end up with a 3.0 unweighted right?

P.E. is not an A-G category class, thus not included in your UC GPA. However, it is not clear exactly how Cal evaluates GPA for the conditions of admission. Do they use UC GPA methods, dropping + and -? Do they include other classes that are not A-G?

Nothing states the method clearly, they only say you have to maintain a 3.0 UW, have no grade of D or F, and take the classes you listed on your application.

Given that, I can’t imagine them rescinding you because you did meet the conditions in good faith, given what was told to you.

I think you have a reasonable basis to say you have earned a 3.0 unweighted, given the situation you listed above. If all the classes came in as B, except for two, one of which was an A and the other was a C, then that is a 3.0 UW average. That also assumes that your high school treats all classes the same for the purposes of calculating GPA, rather than giving them different weights. I ask that because the PE class has to have the same or higher weight than the AP Bio class in order to fully offset the C.
