<p>They re-weight your gpa to their scale. Thus, somebody witha 3.5 uw might get accepted before the 3.6 uw...it all comes down to how many std, honors or AP courses you take.</p>
<p>Take the most difficult course load you can . For the past several yrs UMD has had more and more applicants, I believe with the economy in the diretion it is going I am sure for IS the stats will be even higher...the OOS stats might actually lower because of the cost for OOS. UMD is no longer a safety and SMith is reknown so be as aggressive as you can with your sr course load. Our DS had nothing, but AP and college courses for his SR yr...not req to take even PE.</p>
