Uof Pitt Requested Mid Year Grades? What does this mean?

Hello,

I received a letter from Pitt yesterday that requested me to send in my mid year grades this year. before they make their decision. I have a 3.4 GPA and a 1760 SAT score but I just took it again and am waiting on the score results. This is the email that the admissions counselor sent me "When the admissions committee first reviewed your application, they saw a borderline grade in one of your math courses. They want to see what your grades look like in the fall, especially in your math courses, before they make their final decision. The reason for this is because you applied to the College of Business Administration, which is a very math oriented program. Please have your first available grades sent to us when they become available. Also, if you take another SAT or ACT, have those sent, as well. If you are not planning to take the test again, please let me know. I hope this is helpful. Keep working hard and best of luck in the remainder of your senior year. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions."

My math grades are solid except for my sophomore year when I got a 68 in Honors Algebra 2. Although I take responsibility for the low grade the teacher was not the strongest and I struggled with most of the concepts. I rebounded nicely after that by getting an A in advanced math and a B in Trig. Anyway, does this mean I'm most likely to get denied? What are my chances? The only class that I have that is close to math this semester is Physics which I currently have an A in.

Pitt is my dream school and I am set on it. Now I'm freaking out because I don't know if this is a bad sign or a good sign.

Any feedback is appreciated!
