UofC vs Stanford/MIT/Caltech

I've been wondering what's a better choice for Economics. Any input would be nice!

Chicago, but it depends what you plan on doing with a degree in economics, if you’re using it as a means for a job, I think Stanford and MIT might have more recruiters seeking its students.

The decision here is Chicago, MIT or Stanford. I would visit them if you can and just think about where you will fit. This decision is more about environment.

I would opt for Chicago or Stanford because you want to have more options beyond Econ. There will be a great opportunity to take different types of courses and interact with a variety of students in a larger variety of disciplines. At that point it is just about what setting you want Palo Alto and the Stanford bubble with accessibility to San Fran OR Chicago in the midst of the city. Its a close call and you can’t go wrong, its more about fit.
