UofI-Urbana/Champaign or UW-Madison

I've asked this in some threads similar to this, but don't usually get many opinions. I'm planning on going into Business, probably accounting. I know UofI is cheaper (I live instate) and better in accounting, but how is job placement for both schools like? I am kind of liking UW-Madison better for some reason.

see thread on College Life about the two schools.

U of I is the more logical option considering it has the better program (and better job placement) in accounting than Wisconsin. However, Wisconsin is a better school overall and is in a nicer college town, so if your heart is there, then you have to go.

i know that UIUC has one of the best undergrad acct programs in the nation. UWM is an amazing school and an even more amazing town. They are both in the big ten and both awesome schools.

Any other opinions?

From UW

"Student Success

The Accounting Program at UW-Madison has long been recognized as one of the top programs in the nation.

During the past decade, the accounting program has been second among all schools in the country in the percentage of students passing the CPA Exam and first in students passing the CMA Exam. Wisconsin students have won gold and silver medals as first and second place finishers in the nation, beating out literally tens of thousands of students from other programs."

But I would hesitate to spend that extra money to go to UW even if they were ranked equally--unless you have lots to spend. Then UW is more enjoyable for the other aspects.
