UofM Ann Arbor First year transfer

To any people who have tried to transfer to UofM or are knowledgable on the process:

Does the Rolling Admissions process at University of Michigan also apply to transfer students? If not, if I apply on October 1st, when can I expect a decision by.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chris23, the Rolling Admissions correlates to both Freshman and transfers as well. However the one major discrepancy for transfer candidates is the earlier you apply regardless of the deadline(there still is one though), the sooner you will hear a decision from the admission office. I knew people that applied in Sept. and heard back in October(this was for the next yr. by the way) and August and received a notification in September. Honestly, it takes around 6 weeks to be notified. Also, sometimes even if you apply after the deadline you still might be admitted if space prevails(but apply ASAP). PM me man, if you have any further questions.

does it matter if your spring term courses are not available to choose from yet. What do they base their decision off so early if grades aren’t even available yet?

I am confused by this as well. I’m planning on applying LSA fall '10. It says the deadline is Feb, but can I really apply by Oct if my grades don’t even come out until Jan?

^yeah i need the answer to that question too.

they look at last years (HS) grades and scores and read college professor reports
