UofM, UofI or Purdue?

Suppose I got accepted to University of Michigan, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Purdue University. Also, assume my major is Aerospace Engineering.

In your opinion, what are the pros and cons of each institution and which would you recommend me (not taking in account financial matters)?

bump. Anyone?

bump3. Really, nobody? :(

Last try :(

All three are very good schools. I’d probably go for the cheapest one. Ann Arbor has a better reputation as a college town than West Lafayette or U-C, but you could probably have a great time at any of them.

^Thank you for your insight. We know that college’s name does affect a person’s job searching period. Regarding this factor, do you assume UofM would be the best?

Sandro, this is for engineering however so I would say they are all on equal footing rather than say econ or german.

^^ All three have great reputations for engineering.

All 3 schools have very good engineering programs. However, University of Michigan has very good programs in other majors (foreign languages, premed, law, business)so, you’ll be surronded by students of every major who are all in very good programs. Ann Arbor is known for being safe and has great research facilities especially for engineering & the sciences. I may be biased since I was also accepted to the University of Michigan. Though, my mother commented Illinois is slightly cheapter (out of state).

I am planning to enroll in a Dual-Major program (Engineering+Business), and some have told me UofM would be a good way to go. What do you guys think?

University of Illinois has best positions on the World’s Best IT ranking and on the America’s Best Colleges of Engineering ranking.

University of Michigan has best positions on the World’s Best Universities ranking and on the America’s Best Aerospace Engineering Programs ranking.

Purdue University is always right behind them.

Taking into account the different rankings (which mean different evaluations) and positions, what are your insights into this?
