UOP, UC Davis, UC Irvine

Friday's the deadline for me to decide, but I really don't know which to choose.

University of the Pacific
- bio sci major, would like to minor in graphic design
- 4+3 pre-dental + honors program
- 47.5k COA, 19.5k scholarship+grant ==> 28k/year

UC Davis
- design major, would like to double major with bio
- 26k COA, 7k scholarship/grant ==> 19k/year

UC Irvine
- bio sci major, maybe double major or minor in econ/psych/business econ
- 24k COA, 5k grant ==> 19k/year

My thoughts: I'd get a leg up in UOP, especially for dental school. Thing is I'm not completely sure that's what I want to do, but for now it seems like a good choice. However, it's a 9k/year difference from the UCs, and I don't know if it's worth the extra cost. I'd probably have more fun down at Irvine since it's in the middle of everything unlike Davis and UOP, but that also means I'll end up making more (unnecessary) purchases, so Davis ends up cheapest in the end. Davis is kinda in the middle in terms of education vs. fun (no way, a trade-off). I'd have to learn how to bike and get a bike if I go there, hah.

soo I dunno! My family has a 10.5k EFC, we could probably make 11 or 12k, and I could work over the summer or something. Still leaves some of the cost for which we'd have to take out loans. I'm visiting Davis tomorrow to get a better feel for it (visited last year). I already visited UOP, but I won't have the chance to visit Irvine because it's farther away.

Well, if you’re sure about dentistry, then UOP would be a no-brainer.
