I'm am currently an Accounting major at USF, but I am unhappy at the school due personal reasons. I want to go to a school closer to home and the nearest University to me that accepts transfers who've taken under 60 units is UOP.
Which has a better Accounting program with better job prospects: UOP (university of the pacific) or USF (university of san francisco)?

Lilylane, Im currently a student at Pacific who transferred from the bay area. Im going to making a the assumption that personal reason is chiefly that you want to be closer to home, if not hopefully there is another way I can better answer your question. Looking from a more locale-centric standpoint, USF is in SF, ie youre in the midst of the financial district which definitely gives you different opportunities then you would have in Stockton. However, youre also in direct competition with Haas students as youre in the same area, but you would still have the exposure. In Stockton you would have different opportunities, but many of the same firms that hire in SF hire here as well, and as your class size is smaller your competition is smaller as well.

Im not as familiar with the accounting program in USF but at the business school at Pacific they have just started a joint program in response to the change from 120 to 150 units to sit for the CPA exam where one would graduate with a bachelors and masters degree in accounting. This saves us the time and cost of taking the GMAT, applying to school again. And since we would be classified as undergraduate students, we would receive preferable financial aid.

In the upcoming weeks we have a career fair type event called Meet the Firms where accounting local and global accounting firms, including the big 4, come and present job opportunities. I believe all of these facts increase your job prospects at Pacific.
Which school has the better program can be fairly subjective, but obviously Im enrolled in the joint program and that it increases my value and job prospects.
