Any idea of when i'll hear from University of the Pacific?

You should of had a response about your admittance by now. They should have sent you an email from jan 15-march, if you haven’t got an email by now I am sorry to say but your application has been scrapped since they’ve already posted their census for 2011 admissions.

Same, since UOP is rolling admissions (exceptions are pharmacy and other health sciences) you should have heard back 3 weeks or so after you applied. Even for pharmacy, you should hear back around this time (they say decisions are released March 15, but I got it 3 days ago). Maybe try waiting two more weeks or so. If there is still no reply, then you should call the admissions office and ask.

Well I completed my app the 26th of Jan and sent my transcripts on the 3rd of Feb. I’m a transfer student from the community college down the street I forgot to mention. The UOP rep T talked to recommended that I sent in my final grades for fall which were posted after December a little into January. Will this make a difference since they have rolling admissions?

Can you tell us your cc transfer credits total and your gpa? Also what major are you planning to go into? As a transfer student your admissions response should of been much hastier unless you are an under quoted student which means you are way under their scale of an acceptable applicant. Through their electronic forms they have a base calculator which scraps your application or submits it for review dependent on your overall profile.

Yup my credit total is 70.5 and my GPA is a 3.79 for UC and CSU applicable units and a 3.84 for all of my units combined. My major is Business with a concentration in Marketing. I did managed to talk a lady in admissions today who said it does take a while. She looked into my profile and said it’s ready to be reviewed. I asked her about the whole 3 weeks after you apply thing and she said that applies to freshmen with high merit. Hopefully I get in it’s been my goal for a while now.

That is awkward, are you going into the spring semester? The reason for me asking you this is that I believed they locked up all of their spots for incoming fall freshman. They have sent out housing information and admissions packets so if you are applying for fall I don’t think you’ll be accepted… But then again what do i know about admissions :P

I don’t think that i’d be considered a freshmen though since I have completed 2 years already and have college credits. And yes I am applying for the Fall. We’ll just have to see because she said it is a slow process and my app. hasn’t even been reviewed.

why did you choose uop for business? are you locally around here? Also what makes uop the best choice for you?

@whiteforce:
