Update and Prayer Request

Hi all! Some of you will remember me, some of you won't, but I was (and I like to think still am) one of the regulars on here for the last few years. First of all, I want to let you know that you are always welcome to get in touch with me and I will respond as soon as I can, life has just gotten really busy!

As you may know, I am currently a senior at Notre Dame and am applying to Clinical Psychology PhD programs (which are harder to get into than med school for some reason). So far I have been very very blessed! I have been told by more than one person that you are doing well if you get one interview invite and are lucky if you get two...I have gotten four (Colorado-Colorado Springs, Iowa, West Virginia, and Duke) and will probably end up with one or two more, which I am very thankful for. Getting an interview basically means my odds went from 100-1 to 3-1, literally, but now I have to go up against the best of the best at all of these schools.

My first interview is this Friday at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs. If you have some time, please say a prayer for me. I am stressed out not only because of my interviews (which I have to go to in person) and school work but also because my honors thesis starts on Sunday right when I get back from Colorado! It is going to be an interesting couple of weeks. So please keep me in your prayers and be as understanding as you can if I am slow in responding to your emails or I don't make it on here much...I am trying, but the good news is I don't post here much anymore because I get here and see that everyone is getting really good responses! It is awesome!

Keep up the good work and keep me in your prayers. I miss you guys and this board, you all are awesome!

Mike

Mike---please be assured we all will hold you in our thoughts and prayers. You are going to make this world a better place-follow your dream-and make it your reality. Hang in there---breathe---and KNOW your prayers will be answered in just the right way for YOU! APOL

You'll be in my prayer tonight, Mike.

Once I finish this English paper... :D.

And good luck with your interviews!

Of course you will be in my prayers. You will find the perfect spot and you will make the world a better place. May peace and faith be with you.

Swmmr's mom

I'll pray for you, and I won't even hold it against you that you live in Fisher.

Prayers here. Good luck and keep us posted

Prayers here as well--not only for the interview and thesis, but so that you don't turn into a human popsicle in the frozen tundra that is Michiana!

Good Luck Mike

Thanx for all your help on the discussion board. And I wish you the best and you will do well....you are ND.

Congratulations! Mike on the acceptances. You know the CCers support you and wish you the very best. You are destined for great things :)
Do keep us updated.........very exciting times for you, now the "applicant" :)

lol, not acceptances yet, just interview invites. I will definitely keep you up to date though as I hopefully get acceptances.

Also, I can say that I have added another interview...I got at call today from Catholic University. This pushes me up to 5 interviews and will give me a brutal stretch of 3 interviews in 4 days (creating a roadtrip of 2000 miles). It will be fun, lol.

2000 miles? Bring snacks and an Ipod, and you can survive anything! :)

hmmm I would suggest a video ipod and a year supply of chex mix
