D got her waitlist notification today. She returned her card open to any form of admission (Sept or Jan), but is prepared to consider other options. Thanks MConklin for making the wait tolerable, the steady stream of reliable information from you helped us manage our expectations.

accepted as a transfer student! relieved cuz i really wanted to go to uroch!(:
gotta wait for my 5 waitlisted schools though haha

Alas, I received a wait-list letter today! It was slightly expected, yet immensely disappointing. I will definitely accept the position on the wait-list, though I’m very doubtful that I will be accepted, as I qualified for so much financial aid at other schools. I think it’s very unfair that UR ceases to be need-blind toward wait-listed applicants, but I guess I must take the good with the bad. UR truly epitomizes the term “ideal school” in my case. Congratulations to all other accepted students, and best of luck to those who were wait-listed or rejected.

Nearly all schools are need aware for admission off the waitlist. Not just UR.

What happens is that schools use up most of their projected FA budget when offering aid packages to to regular admits. There’s just not much money left to give.

ineedzhelp, when was the mail postmarked?

scott, I’ve misplaced the envelope already, but the date on the top of the letter is 3/28. Still nothing in LA?

yeah, still nothing in LA,

Hey Mconklin, have all the decision letters been mailed out? On the Roc it saids most applicants should have received letters by 3/31. I am here in NYC, still no letter. :(

scott, still nothing up in san francisco as well. i dont know if i can make it until april 1

sportfan, try call them tomorrow, I tried today but it was too late… Good Luck, though I guess there is not too much chance for me…
BTW, do you have tow boxes in your USConncect? And what major you applied?

Accepted to URoch from NJ and paying my deposit soon! I applied for Neuroscience. I’m so excited to join the Rochester family.

hey scott, good luck to you too. what are tow boxes in USConnect btw? and i applied undecided to the general college

Sportfan, sorry that I replied wrong, I thought it was USC’s thread, cuz I am waiting USC too.

teresaoh, so where you live? and when was the mail postmarked? I am waiting in LA, really nervous. Thanks!

Indiana Still no news

International student from Nigeria. Still waiting to hear from Rochester concerning my admissions decision. Qualified as a finalist for the Renaissance and Global Scholarship though. Does this mean i’m probably already accepted and just don’t know it yet?

Any other internationals heard yet? Has anyone who qualified as a finalist for the scholarship been denied?

hey KingsHorseman…I am from Pakistan and in an exactly similar situation as you. I am a Renaissance finalist but still haven’t received my admissions decision. MConklin said they would dispatch letters to the Rens finalists today and i am hoping i’ll receive my admissions decision with it too

Internationalapp thank you for letting me know im not alone on this. Im so anxious about Rochester. So i’m guessing the decisions will be coming to us by email? and if so, what time?

well, actually we shall receive decisions by regular mail, which could take up to a week for both of us i think…the wait is killing me…rochesters top of my list

got the package today in LA! (postmarked on 03/25) I am so excited and I am definitely going!
GOOD LUCK, EVERYONE!
