Update: Decision Letters

No, I’ve been on step 4 for weeks.

I am a finalist for both the GEAR program and the Renaissance Scholarship and have yet to receive an actual decision letter in the mail for the general university. Should i have?

brian1992… Yes, you should have. Remember to ask while you are on campus.

Got an acceptance today in NYC. Postmarked 03/14/2011. Now just waiting for financial aid notice :/

Btw, for everyone concerned about the “steps” in myroc, mine still shows Step 4, but I received the decision today.

Our D received merit scholarship info a week after her acceptance package. And it also took about a week after that for her staus to show “5”. They have it all down “pat”.

Congratulations!!

suebinor’s experience reflects what should happen in our process. You should receive an admit letter and a financial aid letter a week afterwards and then be moved to step 5 on your myroc account.

Does it ever show accepted on MyRoc if you are accepted or just step 5? I got my acceptance letter and then it still says notification coming in the mail which was a while ago

Nothing in the LA area.
I suppose I’ll be waiting until after the 22nd? Oh geez, I really hope it’s an acceptance.

Oh, and as a side note: Have any George Eastman Young Leaders Award Recipients heard anything yet?

Still waiting in la

I’m in NoCal - still waiting :
MConklin - if we’re still waiting at this point, does it mean we’re in the 22nd or the rejection wave?

The majority of people still waiting will be in the wave of letters being sent on the 22nd, which will include admits, denies, and waitlists.

cbeckett… Our award winner will hear at different times. It doesn’t have much of an impact with regard to when your letter is sent.

Hey MConklin, my application status still says this:
“A senior second reader has completed his/her review of your credentials for admission. Your application is in the last stage of the review process and is awaiting the committee’s final decision. Most applicants will be notified of their admission decision by March 31 (for freshman fall applicants).”

So will my letter be sent in the on the 22nd?

Either the 22nd or the 25th. I appreciate your patience and am sorry that you’ve had to wait. I know that it can be a stressful process. You should hear from us soon though.

Thank you for your response. I’m an international and the mailing where I live is very slow! Do you think I could call the admissions office and ask for my decision? Also, when a decision is made will it show up on the application status or will an email be sent to be stating my decision?

Accepted! 10char

Hi, boramk, when did you get your acceptance? I am still waiting in LA. I guess mine should be mailed on 22nd…

Dear scott- I didn’t get mine either yet and I’m in the LA area as well.

cbeckett,Well, good luck to you, I am an international student…
