Ben:

Yes, I know that what you're going through right now must be tough, and to tell you the truth, when I was reading about some people getting tubes and other not throughout the coutry (I do follow through with my reading), I had a feeling that something like this might have happened. It happened last year at one of the schools to which I applied, and yes, I was one of the unlucky ones without a decision. Back then, I was annoyed with that mistake, but honestly, now I have to be reminded that it even happened. In the end, it didn't change anything, and I don't hold a grudge against that admissions office. It really wasn't a huge deal.

Accidents happen, but this one was not your addmission office's fault. It seems like you guys (especially the MIT admissions people) always try your best to prevent problems like this from happening so I don't see how this problem will haunt you. Please don't beat yourself up for it. They won't (and don't) hate you. I promise. Smile. It'll make you feel better. :) (Though I don't think anything can make ME feel better. I have a final tomorrow night. AHHHH!)
