*UPDATE* High Income Family: Is there any way for me to get financial aid?

This is just an update for those involved in my previous thread. In the two days since my thread has been closed, I just recently found out that I'm a semifinalist for the President's Scholarship at Georgia Tech (my top school). If I get this then the scholarship will cover 70% to my full tuition. I originally thought I wouldnt qualify for any merit based scholarships but I apparently I do! I just might be able to go to a great school at a bargain without staying in state. Thank you to those who helped me though, I truly appreciate it.

Great news! Best of luck.

Glad you found a viable option. GL! :)

Congratulations!!!

Good luck!!!

Looks like there will be 50 finalists/recipients out of 425 semi-finalists according to information on the school’s website.

Just be sure to keep looking for a financial safety if needed.

Good luck!

I could not be happier for you! And it feels like all of the pieces are coming together for you and your family at the same time…

Georgia Tech will be lucky to get you…and you will meet students from around the world with a great passion for learning…according to a release sent out yesterday, they accepted EA candidates from all 50 states and 42 foreign countries for 2014.

@SouthernHope Yep! And the acceptance rate for EA dropped 15%. Apparently it stayed relatively the same for instate so it was significantly harder for OOS.

congratulations!

and good luck

Congratulations!
