Cube,
I don't have permission to list exact stats, but her numbers are high, academically well rounded, translator in low income clinic, summer research internship. She is also a finalist for Emory Scholar and nominated for UMichigan's Shipman scholarship. She was nominated by her HS for Danforth too, but she ran out of steam writing essays and decided that the Rodriguez was her best shot.

How is your daughter going to handle the conflict between the Emory Scholar finalist weekend and the Rodriguez weekend? It's a nice problem to have! Congrats to her!

parentX2,
Thanks, that's the million (or 200k) dollar question! Needless to say, when she applied to these schools we did not anticipate this "problem". All three overlap by 1-2 days. I think she will have to turn down one of them, and then try to negotiate something with the other two. If that doesn't work, well, she'll have to go with her gut and make a decision. What makes it difficult is that she will receive some scholarship money from both UM and Emory for attending the interview, while she may still end up with nothing at WUSTL. On the other hand, WUSTL is the only one that she has visited, and she liked both the school and students.

Entomom. Congratulations on your daughter's prolific success. Both Shipman and Emory Scholars are the top scholarships for each respective University, so there's much to be proud of.
I was wondering if you could tell me what state you are from, and if your daughter attends a public or private school.

My son received a call from Wash U yesterday about 6:30. My husband answered. The woman on the line said she was calling about the Danforth.
We haven't heard anything since. Should we call tomorrow? The waiting is difficult.
