Update Letter - When to send?

I like good ol' "Dear Sir or Madam," myself...I'm scared someone who isn't Mr. Fitzsimmons will read it and be offended. It's ridiculous, yes, but you have the added comfort of retaining another line when you reprint the letter eight more times for various schools.

? of another angle: what if you only have one little thing to add since December? The county superintendant nominated me for an award...thingy...but it seems awkward to send in a whole letter with just that. Thoughts?

guitar, i checked. no pm. although you might be done with it, i'd still like to see it. i'm just curious what an update letter should look like!

who is Mr. Fitzsimmons?

^^Undergraduate Admissions Dean at Harvard

So should I address it to Mr. Fitzsimmons as well? What if my accomplishment is not an accomplishment? What if it's ordinary?

I addresed mine to Fitz+the adcom...lol...just to be safe :p What's your accomplishment, hide?

like i said, it's not an accomplishment!! it's a bunch of excuses for certain circumstances that i forgot to explain. then the letter ends with "a work in progress".
