Update on housing

Housing application is currently being updated it says on myucf. I'm assuming it will come out within the next couple of days.

yeah I saw that too… I’ve been checking it like every day hahaha

Lol I have too. I can’t wait till it comes out.

Where does it say that?

Go to Student Self Service - Housing - Apply…it says it there

Does anyone know the answer to this question: I am considering UCF and USF and a few other schools. Some of the other schools will take a little longer to tell if I am accepted. If I apply for housing with UCF and choose a different school, can I cancel the contract without have to pay? Like I know USF will refund you the pre-payment in full, minus the 50$ app fee.

Well, I think it depends. To put down our official housing application, we may have to pay (that’s the case with schools up here in illinois). If that’s true, and then you decide to attend a different school, after doing so, you won’t get a refund.

To apply for UCF housing, you have to put down both the $200 enrollment deposit and the $250 housing deposit, both of which are nonrefundable should you decide that you will not attend UCF.

Unfortunately, UCF’s housing deposit is one of the more expensive ones too.

okay thanks everyone!

So I literally just got back from UCF. Did the housing tour and saw the Libra L style room. It was nice but now what I want. I either want the Libra Pod style or the Nike dorms. The nice surprise was that the L one was bigger than my room at home. My room at home isnt huge, but it was still good to see.

The guy also said that housing apps will open December 1st. He actually said November
1st, but Im guessing he meant December 1st and the booklet said Late November.

BTW: I think Im going to choose Nike, because it just looks nicer asthetically, isn’t really too far away (maximum 5 minute walk from Libra if you’re slow), so I think better quality people will stay there, if you guys know what I mean.

And in my second tour of UCF, first with the family, I completely finished
falling in love with the schoool. Im going to put my admissions deposit now before I even hear from UF or UM even though I will most likely get in. There’s nowhere else I would rather go

Better quality people…?
I’m choosing Libra, Pod style. It’s just a better choice, in my opinion. Closer to classes, and also, a lot more social, because of the linked common room areas on each floor.

People who actually care about aesthetics. To me it isn’t everything, but there will probably be more “classy” people there.

The pod style Libra is what I like too, since its incredibly social, but I don’t know if I like it aesthetically.

And the walk to me isn’t much. I’ll learn to longboard since it seems pretty fun.

I’d LOVE to learn to long board:)
Long boarding is unheard of, mostly, here in chicago.
I was very close to picking Nike/Hercules. Then I realized, being out of state, the social aspect was very important to me. That’s also were most of the other out of staters will stay, so it’s my pick:)

Not sure if you guys knew this or not…I just learned about this today… but theres actually a hall in the Libra dorms specifically for out of state students! they have this whole like “out of state mentoring program”. It sounded pretty cool to me, I just thought id share it with the rest of you :)

[UCF First Year Experience - (407) 823-5105](<a href=“First Year Experience • UCF”>First Year Experience • UCF)

I considered that:) I like the idea of being surrounded my individuals going through a similiar situation. However, I want to be around actual florida residents, too. So I’m just going into Libra, pod style, as normal.
Johnny, small world with the whole youtube thing!:D

Good choice dolphinfreak  I did that a couple weeks ago and I am visiting the 28th

I did the tour on my own. We just went in to the Student Union/Bookstore/Library and a couple of other buildings. The campus is really easy to get around and I honestly fell at home when I was there. I am honestly in love with UCF.

That’s great are you trying for honors and what dorm do you want

Yea. I actually handed in my honors app today while I was there since I didnt want anything getting lost again.

I THINK I want Hercules, but maybe I’ll want Libra Pod style. Im almost certain on Hercules though

hbu?
