My son was accepted for EA and interviewed for scholarships (not the presidential), but we haven’t heard anything yet. I would imagine such offers would be included in the FA letter on March 25.

Still waiting here, too.

@mamalumper when did you recieve said email? I haven’t gotten one

are Presidential Scholarships offered for RD applicants or are any partial scholarships offered? I was deferred on EA but my ACT went from 30 to 33 on the December test after the EA decision had been made.

I had heard that 33 ACT can help with the scholarships with the rest of the stats/profile being solid as well

3 Questions!
- I was deferred from EA, and I wrote a letter of reconsideration and I asked my coach to write one as well. I was just wondering if these types of letters actually help.
- Applicants have to apply for the presidential scholarship right? or are they selected…
- Do siblings/legacy actually help for this particular university?

the march 25 finaid notification includes scholarships. for the presidential scholarship, you have to be an EA candidate and have your school nominate you. this constitutes your application for that particular scholarship.

=)

For the Presidential Scholarship, you needed to be an EA candidate, have your school nominate you back in Dec and fill out an application. Interviews were held for select candidates in Feb and the finalists have already been notified.

Ohhhh okay thanks! Whose excited for results this Fridayyy!? Does anyone know what time results will be out?

I heard they’re up in the morning, or else by 4pm. I checked last year’s thread. Most people posted in the morning.

Darn. I kind of wanted to find out at night…or at least after school and practice/: four more daysss

AH! So nervous.
I’m kind of anxious because they don’t have a specific time. Hopefully they send out an email with the info on it. Though the morning is awful because if you don’t get it, it ruins your whole day. I might just wait until the afternoon :/

In answer to a question, I think Villanova gives some preference for legacies. Each college has a different definition of legacies. Villanova’s application, as I remember, asks for any relative who graduated, not just a parent.

Some colleges like to admit a sibling of a current student, assuming they are qualified.

My son attends VSB. He has loved every minute of it! he describes the students as warm, very smart, and highly motivated.

A great place
