Well, my internship this summer is coming to a close. I got to work on a lot of cool projects across different engineering disciplines. Since I worked for a civil engineering contractor, I got to work for both the Department of Transportation and for private clients. I learned so much about the engineering disciplines this summer that I can take back to my senior design projects. I got to help take down a building, work with GPS surveying equipment, see structures being built, build entirely new streets and sewers, and this was all on one huge commercial development.

In addition, I got to perform topographic and other types of surveys. I also got to take a lot of electrical devices apart, and learn about programming.

So would that qualify as an internship? What do you guys think?
