Mollie dropped me a line on Saturday to let me know CC was concerned because some people had received emails announcing the availability of decisions and some people had not.

At the time, I responded (in several threads) with this:

We apologize to anyone who may not have received our email announcing the decision date. Decisions will be available online, at decisions.mit.edu, on Sunday, 3/14, at 1:59 PM EST.

Receiving (or not receiving) the email could be the result of many factors - a mistaken email address, an overeager spam filter, and so forth - but it is absolutely, positively, in no way related to the actual status of your decision.

This was - and still is - true!

For clarification:

All Domestic emails went out on Thursday, March 4th.

All International emails went out today, Tuesday, March 9th.

If you have not received an email at this point, it is not because we haven't sent it, or because we don't like you; I would advise checking your spam mailbox, etc (thanks cgarcia for identifying this as a potential cause for others!)

Hope this clarifies the situation for everyone, and best of luck this weekend!

kind of off-topic question, but MITChris, is CC going to verify your “college rep”-ness? not that I think anyone doesn’t believe you, but if someone new to the forums saw you I’m not sure the first conclusion from your username would be that you’re an MIT admissions officer. (meaning I’ve seen other non-admissions officers with MIT in their usernames).

Not sure if this the right thread to ask, but will the decisions on Sunday include information about financial aid, and if not, how long before the accepted candidates receive that information?
