Update submitted application

I’d like to update my application with some large awards that I received after submitting my SCEA app. What’s the proper procedure for this? I can upload documents in the applicant status portal, but that doesn’t seem appropriate. Should I email Harvard directly, try to find my regional representative, or something else?

If your update is really substantial – meaning it could push you over the fence if Harvard is seriously considering you – you should upload a letter to the portal describing the award, along with any documentation you have. In addition, as the full committee will be meeting very soon, you should FAX the same update letter to Harvard Admissions. Paper spewing out of a FAX machine demands immediate attention, whereas it could take serval days to serval weeks for Admissions to look at the letter you uploaded to the portal. Best of luck to you!
