<p>Today we are putting together the packets sent to admitted students. They will go out in the mail beginning tomorrow(12/18). </p>

<p>my daughter has been waiting patiently since october when we visited … it is her # 1 school !!! She attacks our mailman on a daily basis looking for that packet!!!</p>

<p>We are in Ct and if they mailed out on the 18th, if we were lucky to be in the first batch, I’m thinking Wednesday or Thursday.</p>

<p>I was going on the longest it has taken for mail to reach someone around that area but I hope for good news before the holiday. My girls sent out a few EA’s but decided to do some RD when the deadlines were looming. That is fine, but now they see how nice it is to at least know “yes or no” even if the FA isn’t decided.</p>

<p>My daughter was deferred from TCNJ-she was very disappointed. But she rec’d 70,000 scholarship over 4 years from Seton Hall the next week. I guess things happen for a reason sometimes. We also applied to Marist Loyola Saint Josephs. She wants education and I know PA doesn’t have elem ed-or now it is K-4 and no one is sure of a nj/pa reciprocal agreement. Everyone I know who graduated from SJU in the past for educ have found great jobs with no problem and loved the school.</p>
<p>Did you try Rowan? I’ve heard that they have a pretty great Education program.</p>
<p>UConn has a wonderful education program if she is intersted in OOS schools.
My girls applied to Marist also, and one is applying to Villanova business, RD. They were accepted at Stonehill which also has an education program if I remember correctly. One of the tour guides majored in that and had just come back from Oxford.</p>
<p>Niece applied early action and is upset because some of her friends received a Christmas card from the school. Did anyone else receive a card and do you think it means anything
at all.</p>
<p>Thanks JerseyT -we will now look into Rowan also. I have to say I love Saint Josephs though. They have such a great track record-and happy students.
Thanks Debruns -she wants to stay within 2 hours of home. I’m hoping it isn’t because of her boyfriend. Although she is in Honor and AP classes she is not at the top of her class (although Junior and Senior 3.6 and 3.71) 3.35 GPA up to Junior year. Thankfully she’s coming on strong and did well on SATS. Her scholarships have been a pleasant surprise. (also 52000 from LaSalle also but she hasn’t shown interest anymore) My husb, d, and I loved the program at Marist. We were lucky to meet with a very caring Education Administrator.
This college confidential and college process has been a learning process for me which will benefit my 8 year old son next time around. He’s stayin with travel soccer-lol. I’ve learned so much just reading on this site.
I don’t believe she received a Christmas Card either. I look forward to tomorrow.

<p>I don’t know if we got one or not…I do know 2 came the other day, one said, “Happy Holiday’s” and one was from Catholic U and it said, “Merry Christmas”
WonderingNJ, I know how that is, although my girls don’t have boyfriends, they had a 3-4 hour margin to be from home and it does limit you to some degree. I’m sure she will do well whereever she ends up, the “upward trend” colleges really like.
