Summer Plans
I'm shadowing an Anesthesiologist at Northwestern this summer. He is also the director of the critical care department at the hospital. I'll be observing in the Emergency Room and Surgeries.

I'm working on finding another doctor to shadow to supplement the above plans.

Colleges I'm Looking Into
Northwestern's HPME (some have said that this is out of reach for me), Case Western, USC, Rice, and other Combined Programs. I'm also looking into good undergrade sites such as Wash U, JHU, Duke.

Sorry for the length of this post, but hopefully the information will allow for a more accurate prediction. Thanks again for anyone who will post, this will help me plan out which colleges to visit this summer / provide some much needed self esteem boost!

bump? 10 char

What's your writing score? Some places do consider that you know.

On both the SAT and ACT writing, I got an 11. On the actual writing section on the SAT, I kinda bombed, 660.

Those stats would look good, if you can pull up your SAT scores a bit. WHy would you think HPME is out of reach for you? Test scores, lack of EC's, etc.? To me your EC's look good and so does your ACT.

wow, your stats looks amazing

yeah, u should make it to ur first choice! Best of Luck!

you look good in terms of stats and extracurriculars. now make sure you write amazing essays, and you need to interview well. if you do those things you should be in anywhere.

your math+verbal is 1450..thats very competitive
overall: 2110?..thats good too, but i would go with your ACT score..

Just wanted to update the thread with my SAT 2 results.

800 in Math 2 and Chemistry

I'm studying all summer and will retake both the SAT and the ACT in the fall, hoping for 2250+ and 35.

Awesome stats. I think you have a good chance at the accelerated programs.

Texas A&M has an AWESOME program...I'm in it...no MCAT...only have to maintain a 3.5 after you're in college. Its called Partnership for Primary Care...look into it.

Thanks for all the help everyone, I guess now all I have to do is apply and see how it goes.
