that part is wrong btw...its going to be quite a bit higher I think because like I said, I got 2 more "A"s than I expected.

btw, whats lacking thats making mich a reach for me? Is my Umich GPA THAT bad? I think its a bit more than 3.8, and its in the hardest classes, plus my test scores are almost at the top 75%, so whats making me have no chance? I'm not arguing, saying you're stupid for calling it a reach, or closed to the idea of it being a reach (in fact I do believe that Umich will be harder than what people have told me), but I'm jw.

I think you're a match, if not a safety. he's from oregon, and umich has to fill there oregon quota. I don't know a single kid from oregon, so I'm pretty sure we need some ehre.

well yeah I doubt I'm a safety man because my UM GPA = crap and my ACT is not even at the top 75% mark (although its close), so I'll take it as match but def not safety.

so basically, you guys say that I shouldn't lose too much sleep over it? I'm seriously shocked because my Umich GPA is terrible (a low 3.8), and I've heard mich puts a ton of emphasis on GPA and thats what I'm scared about!

Gah I want to go hear sooo bad. I really hope I dont get rejected!

relax there is nothing you can do now...everything is out of your hands..just write good essays and hope for the best. stop stressing out about it. you obviously have good stats and you'll get into another top notch school even if you don't make it into michigan. people are telling you that you're a match so just chill out and wait till september.

I'd say you're a Match. I know plenty of people that have gotten in with lesser stats that weren't URMs, athletes, or legacy. They were just early. Be early.

well okay I want to ask one last question (then its just pray to god and insomnia time ;)):

I'm thinking that if I apply ASAP to michigan (I mean literally work on my essays RIGHT NOW, have them edited by teachers in the first week of school, and then send it off at the beginning of september), approxmately when will I have my decision? The reason I ask is because I need to take SAT 2s for other schools that I'll apply pending rejection from michigan (OH GOD! PLEASE NO!!!!!! LOL), and say I get rejected in October (again I hope it doesn't come down to this), I'll still have timet o take tests, etc. But if I get rejected by at least late december (as the website says is latest for this plan), then I'm screwed for schools that require them (btw, I'm procrastinating only because I'd really like to avoid wasting money on tests I wont need to take unecessarily).

Just take the tests, you don't want to jeopardize your future; two $100 tests compared to a tuition of ~$40,000 per year is negligible even though the test fees may seem like a lot by themselves...

yeah you got a point there. After all, I've realized that in the end I'm still going to want to apply to harvard, princeton, and duke just for the hell of it, and SAT 2s are required for that. But does anyone know though whether the early response program thing is still "rolling" as in the earlier you apply, the sooner you will get your result? It says that at MOST you'll get it on December X, but that means that they'll give you a decision still ASAP correct? And if the previous is true, does anyone know when I could expect my decision if I apply during the beginning of september?

Someone from Oregon with the name California love? You have some explaining to do lol. I say you're a match though.....I need someone from oregon though so I won't be the only one who's a loner from his state. (I'm from Rhode Island)
