Updated Chances thread

All my EC's are in my previous post. Updated ACT Score.

GPA: 3.5 (88.4 unweighted, 88.89 weighted)

ACT: 23 Composite

Your GPA and SAT/ACT scores still put you below the middle 50% of admitted students at University Park, which means more than 75% of students admitted had higher GPAs and test scores than the ones you are have listed. Applying DUS would probably help your admissions possibility as compared to applying to business or engineering. From the PSU website

Middle 50% GPA & Standardized Test Range
High School GPA (4.0 scale)

Penn State University Park 3.57-3.97
All other campuses 2.94-3.41

Combined SAT (critical reading and math only*)

Penn State University Park 1180-1350
All other campuses 960-1150

Combined ACT (critical reading and math only*)

Penn State University Park 26-30
All other campuses 20-25

*Critical reading and math scores only. Penn State will evaluate scores from the writing portion of the SAT and ACT for students applying for summer/fall 2009.

Estimating your eligibility:

The ranges in the chart above represent the middle 50% of students offered admission for this past fall - they are not cutoffs or averages. Placing in the upper end of both ranges increases the likelihood of being offered your first choice of campus/major. Placing in the lower end of both ranges may require you to be more flexible in making your campus (and perhaps major) choices.

Admission decisions are based on a variety of factors. The most important factor, the high school grade-point average (GPA), accounts for approximately two-thirds of the admission decision. The remaining one-third of the decision is based on other factors, which may include standarized test scores, class rank, personal statements, and activities lists.

My chances?

3.43 GPA; 28 ACT; 1220 V/M SAT (650 Math; 570 verbal)
