I am an in-state.

You are certainly qualified and competitive for UVA - the thing is it can very much depend on where you are from in-state and what your stats mean for your school. From schools/localities in VA you’d be a longer shot and others a better shot. Ultimately though you won’t know until you try so go for it and show UVA why you want to be there in the essays and keep up the upward trend - focus very hard on your fall semester! Good luck!

you are well qualified and freshman year grades can be viewed with some kindness sometimes
Please put your best foot forward and write your best essays and just make sure you also apply to a school that will most certainly welcome you…
UVA is always a bit unpredictable and there are indeed too many qualified applicants… but for heaven’s sakes…you should be proud of your record.

why not study for the Math SATII level II…and try to do your best? No one has to see it if you don’t like it! You might surprise yourself and offset your lower math score if you prepare. The prep book is quite good and you could take it in October or November or December…
If your AP scores are middling…shine on an SATII or two…you might show some moxey that way. You have time to take an SATII Subject test one at a time to add something
Are you bilingual?

That W GPA Is really LOW. I’d say 30% chance of getting in.
