<p>UCSD is renowned and prestigious enough to raise their minimum requirement. I’m surprised they even have a TAG. All you need is a 3.5 to be guaranteed a spot at the 3rd best UC.</p>

<p>I don’t think Ws matter. I’ve been told numerous times by various people (including my Cal TAP counselor) that no one cares about Ws. Only grades that lower your GPA count - case in point, I’m taking my foreign language requirement as P/NP because I don’t want a C to drag down my GPA, but I don’t want to put in the effort to get an A (taking o-chem, calc based physics, calc, and programming as well). You’re allow up to 12 units of P/NP as long as it’s not a major pre-req. I won’t get unit credit for the foreign language anyway - I’ll be at 110 units when I transfer, and 70 of my units are major pre-reqs, haha. Everything that fulfills IGETC is going to be given subject credit.</p>
