"… [President] Collado shared other news from around the college, including an update on 2019 enrollment. She noted that the college has received nearly 13,000 undergraduate applications and that the estimated total enrollment for spring 2019 is around 5,800 students.

Updates on several initiatives to strengthen leadership on campus were also provided. The Chair’s Academy, designed to provide department chairs with professional development, mentoring and support networks, kicked off in early January. The first cohort in the ILead Ithaca Academy, which helps supervisors bolster their leadership skills, also began the program last month." …

My son is an IC athletic recruit. He just loved his visit there and is looking forward to being part of the Class of 2024, but I’m a little concerned about your finances. Your endowment seems too small to support a school of your size. I hope that robust fundraising plans (a big capital campaign) are on the horizon. Is President Collado focused on financial resource development? (Also, the meal plan food is not very appealing. There was a petition being developed when we visited. Is she addressing that at all?)
