Updating application?

Hey CC,

I’m a current UNC student, and a friend of mine from high school is applying OOS RD this year… He made it into the top 10% of his class after the semester break and wants to update the selection committee since top 10% is an important criteria considered in admissions. He emailed unchelp@admissions.unc.edu two weeks ago, and they never responded.

Does anyone here have experience with updating an application? What is the correct email address? Should you expect a response? Thanks.

Is that the admissions email on the website? If so, then they got it. Unless you ask them to reply, a large star university probably won’t.

He could also ask his Guidance Counselor to give them a call to update this rank. If he prefers to do it himself, he can call admissions and ask them if they received his update.
