Updating SAT Scores After Submitting Application

How does one update his or her SAT score if said SAT was taken after the application was submitted? For instance, if one submitted an early action application by November 1 but took the November SAT, how would that person update the school on his or her new SAT score? Thanks in advance! (I just was not able to find this anywhere else so I thought I would try making a thread!)

By sending an official score report to the school.

Yes, some questions are amenable to a Search if they have a unique term, but something like this is harder, you’d get too many hits searching words like SAT, update, etc.

And, by sending the official score report via Collegeboard, it is acceptable that it is not amended in the Common Appilcation?

Once the CA is submitted to a school, that application cannot be amended.

[Note: you can however make other versions of the CA to send to other schools]

Once you submit your Common App, all supplemental information will simply be received and added to your file, whether College Board score reports or other. Few colleges accept self-reported test scores, so obviously, they are always expecting official score reports in addition to your Common App.

I think I understand it now! Thank you for all the responses!
