So I'm the quarter system, and the non-IGETC, non-prerequisite elective that I wanted to take is not offered due to budget cuts. I decided to take a class with the same amount of units in the same department. I re-updated my TAU, but I've been a bit unsure of what to do next.

MyBerkeleyApplication shows an address to send a letter to if I need to notify a change of grades/courses, so I assumed I'd need to look for the respective addresses for all of the UCs I applied to, but then, as I was looking through UCI's portal, I saw that on the message center it has a link to "Report a change in my course schedule." I tried looking through other portals, but I couldn't find anything for UCSC, UCSB only says "to update your application with work in progress, please go to the University of California Application Update website. The website is open until 03/30/2012," and UCLA doesn't even have a portal for me to check...

This information is so conflicting. Anyone from past years have some advice?

To be honest, I would just wait until you’re accepted. I’m in a very similar situation to you. I changed a non-prereq class–switched from Intercultural Comm to Interpersonal Comm-- and I just waited until I got my first acceptance from UCR and then notified them immediately afterwards. I didn’t want to hold up my application. The admissions department got back to me the next day and said that it was added to my file. I wouldn’t worry too much about it as I sincerely doubt that it would do anything other than slow down the review of your application.

That’s a really long time to not do anything about it considering I registered for spring on March 6th and I won’t know where I’m going for sure until April 29th…How did you go about notifying them, e-mail?

All the schools want/require different ways of letting them know, so you don’t need an address for snail mail for each one.

Let UCI know through the portal/message center like you denoted.

UCSB:
How can I inform UCSB of a change in my schedule via e-mail?

Please send an e-mail with “schedule change” written in the subject line to admissions@sa.ucsb.edu. Be sure to include your student ID number (perm) or application ID number.

And, for ucla I would fill out this form (even though it says prior to Fall) and ask in the question box if this form would suffice, and if not, what will.
