I know that we update winter grades and spring schedule in January, but when do we update or can we update winter grades? My winter class won't be over until Feb. 6 and I won't have grades until after that. So are we able to update our application past January?

If you don’t have your winter grade by Jan. 31st, you’re pretty much s*** out of luck there. Most CC students probably aren’t able to post their winter grades. I know I won’t be able to.

I was on quarters before I transferred, Winter classes are generally included in the terms and conditions of acceptance later on, just like spring classes. So don’t stress too much if you can’t update them. You can also try updating them (a second update… do the january one) whenever you know, though they might not see the update if it’s done late.

Terms and conditions usually just says to pass all your classes, but a couple schools might was good grades in certain classes/pre-reqs or a 3.0 quarter/semester GPA… so don’t stress about those too much.

I guess I am lucky. My winter session is only 3.3wks long so I’ll be able to update the grades in jan. If I couldn’t, I would still email the schools to give them updates.

@bomerr

I plan to email some of the UCs I applied to in order to let them know about a transferable math class I’ll probably pass in the winter session and whose grades will be posted after the application update deadline. Would there be any guarantee or even a strong chance that it’d be taken into consideration before they look over your application and decide to admit/reject you?

I emailed a UC rep and I think she said if your winter grades are updated with a letter grade, they factor into the TAG agreement. So if they help maintain your gpa, youre set.
