UPenn 2020 Waitlist Thread

@Jmoney973 he is from NJ.

@Rosyln do you think they might be doing this regionally? And by school? Because all of the people of who have gotten off the waitlist have been Wharton applicants until now

anybody know when they’re gonna release majority of the results? like i know Harvard said they’re releasing their waitlists tomorrow…

@cherryredgirl Harvard released their waitlist yesterday.

@idkName wish Penn gave a date to us too :frowning:

Have any engineering students heard anything yet?

What was the yield rate for UPenn this year? Are the Wharton waitlists already done?

I’m at my Penn reunion and admissions just said they didn’t really use the waiting list this year. I don’t think it looks too promising because it sounded like they had no future plans to admit off the list.:frowning:

@desie1 thanks for letting us know, even though it’s bad news :frowning:

has anyone from engineering heard anything?

@Patience20 Nope.

One of my friends got off the waitlist today - Wharton.

I don’t get why they’re only accepting Wharton waitlisters up until now

Has any CAS applicant heard anything?

My guess is that Wharton is competing with HYPSM. Some students got off the waiting list of these schools and rejected Wharton.

At least there is some waitlist activity…albeit quite minimal. Nevertheless, there is still hope!

When do you think they will release us from the waitlist?

From the 2019 wailtlist thread it looks like last year there was a round of notifications about this time and they did not release the waitlist until Mid June.

@omarohs I haven’t heard anything. I’m nervous that CAS has full enrollment. They may not need anyone to fill spots if what everyone else is saying is true.

Penn is fully enrolled this year. Any open space is created by students who already committed to Penn, and subsequently got off other school’s waiting list. Last year, there is a student who got a call from Harvard at the end of May. So There is still hope.
