Congrats! How does the FA packages look?
Oh man, damn, I sent my second update just yesterday, I should’ve sent it earlier
I don’t know what more I should do…I hope my second LOCI piques their interest. Should I send them more updates? I’m assuming that there will be a third wave considering that they have a new space on the portal for further waitlist updates…I think this time I will send a little bit of what I am like personally instead of just updates. Maybe I could send in the commonapp personal essays that I didn’t use, but that I think shows more of who I am
@sariseo I was also thinking about sending one of the personal essays that I didn’t use, but I don’t know if that would make sense. After all, it’s not an actual update… But I don’t know what to do either
I think maybe try to integrate some of the ideas in the essay into your next email? I feel like they may not have the time to/care to read an essay for a different school, but that’s just my opinion. In any case, good luck everyone!
Where do you guys send your updates? I can’t find it from the Penn Admissions portal. Thanks in advance.
@runkli go to the application info tab, you should be able to submit a new update where it says “forms”
It’s not for a different school? They’re the essays for Common App’s personal essay I was thinking about sending. But I’ll take up your advice and just try adding some parts of the essays
@sariseo I apologize, I misunderstood. I feel like sending it can’t hurt in any way, but I have been trying to integrate the best parts of my essays into the letters of continued interest and tying it back to why I love UPenn/what UPenn has to offer. I would look for more experienced people than myself (I am in the same boat as all of you lol), but that’s just my 2 cents. I think we are drawing near the end of this process, and I really hope everyone loves the schools they are currently committed to. While UPenn is amazing, things will work out for all of us either way! Good luck!
Anyone think the next wave is tomorrow or at the end of this week?
I think it’s over, at least for wharton.
Maybe one or two spots will open up by Jun 4, students off waitlist last wave were given two weeks to decide. I’d be surprised if they did one offs before then.
Wouldn’t they send rejection letters if the process was over for Wharton?
I would say to wait a lot longer…not holding onto much hope but it is def not over. If it was over, UPenn would have already created the extended waitlist as they have done in previous years. I am by no means saying a lot more people will be getting off the waitlist, but there is still a chance. With all of the uncertainty concern COVID, I think more people will take gap years, leaving a tuition gap.
If there’s only one or two spots then we pretty much are rejected…
Maybe, but I think there’s at least one more wave at the end of the two week mark from May 19th. And then whoever’s chosen will go into the extended waitlist which is really 0-2 people kind of chance
I hope all the wharton slots aren’t taken…
Any idea for Engineering and Applied Sciences
@visreedhar I think people have been getting off for SEAS still, and @staylor1490, just because we don’t see people getting into Wharton off these threads, it doesn’t mean it isn’t happening, so definitely don’t lose all hope yet. At the same time, become emotionally prepared (and happy) to attend the school you are committed to because I would be lying if I said the chances were great.
Any update for anyone tonight?
