<p>For those of you who got into Upenn, do you get your admission ID, where and when?
My son didn't get ID. Since we are international we need this ID to apply I-20
Please advice</p>
<p>when international students apply we receive an email titled University of Pennsylvania - Admissions ( from <a href=“mailto:records@admissions.upenn.edu”>records@admissions.upenn.edu</a>)
It will read
Dear Blah (your son’s name),</p>
<p>Thank you for your application for admission to the University of Pennsylvania. As you did not supply or do not have a social security number, you have been assigned the following Penn student identifier: ********* (9 digit number that you need). This number should be used on all future correspondence or application documents that you submit to the University. Also, throughout the application process, if you are asked to fill in a social security number, please use your new Penn student identifier. Do not be concerned if you have already sent in supplemental materials without this number, we will be able to add these materials to your application file.</p>
<p>Additionally, if you are admitted to the University, you will use this Penn student identifier while you are a student at Penn. Therefore, I urge you to keep this number in a safe place and again, please make sure that you write this number on any correspondence that you send to the University.</p>
